Choose Zion Ponderosa over Zion Mountain Resort for your southern Utah headquarters for more recreational possibilities

Located only minutes from the east entrance of Zion National Park, Zion Ponderosa Ranch and Resort provides a wide range of lodging and recreation options from which to choose. We offer everything from tent camping sites to luxurious mountain homes. If you have a motor home or trailer, one of our full-hookup RV sites is the perfect option for you. Zion Mountain Resort, located just south of our resort, does not offer RV sites.

Zion Ponderosa also has other advantages over Zion Mountain Resort. Zion Ponderosa boasts more recreation options, including a two-tiered swimming pool and a recreation barn with ping-pong, billiards, and foosball. We also provide other open-use activities for guests, including volleyball, tennis, basketball, softball, Frisbee golf, croquet and horseshoes. Our resort regularly hosts events such as guided hikes, ghost walks, interpretive talks, movies, bonfires and barn dances. Zion Mountain Resort does not offer any of these activities.

Another reason you will want to choose Zion Ponderosa over Zion Mountain Resort is that we make it easier for you to hike in Zion National Park, the area’s main attraction. We provide a daily hiking shuttle that leaves our resort in the morning and drops you off at the Zion Canyon Visitor Center. The shuttle picks you back up in the evening. The park’s Zion Canyon shuttle provides transportation to your desired trailhead from the visitor center. When you make Zion Ponderosa your southern Utah vacation headquarters, you do not have to worry about traffic and parking when exploring Utah’s most visited national park.
