The incredibly scenic canyon awes visitors with enormous sandstone monoliths that tower 2,000 to 3,000 feet above the canyon floor, as well as hanging gardens, waterfalls, and a wide array of plant and animal life. The canyon is the main attraction in the park and features many hiking trails appropriate for all ages and ability levels, from the ¼-mile jaunt to Weeping Rock to the strenuous four-mile ascent to Observation Point, one of the best top-down viewpoints in the park.
