Canyoneering -
Staring up at the 110 foot cliff you just descended,
you're watching the rope slide and fall whistling
to the ground near the feet of the guide. Surrounded
on three sides by the towering cliffs you realize
that there is no escape but heading down, deeper
into the canyon. Turning excitedly down canyon,
camera in hand, you are awed by the view and hungry
for the next challenge. The guide smiles and says,
“Welcome to Canyoneering.”
Canyoneering is extreme hiking that requires specialized gear and knowledge to overcome challenges. Cliffs, boulders, and water are just a few of the challenges.
If you are up to the challenge, Zion Ponderosa Ranch has professional guides and the equipment to give you an exceptional experience.
Quick drying clothes

*Other canyons may be possible, please contact the resort. All canyoneering excursions require a minimum of 2 people and are limited to a maximum of 8. Payment in full is required at the time of reservation. Cancellation made two days prior to the excursion will receive a 50% refund, cancellations made within 48 hours of the excursion are nonrefundable. If the excursion is canceled due to unfavorable weather conditions participants will receive a full refund or the excursion will be rescheduled.
Jeep Tours -
Hop in to our specialized off-road cruiser and
hold on. Your driver will take you up, down, and
all around. The views and vistas you will see
will take your breath away. Don't miss this incredible
3 hour experience! (2 person minimum)
Feel the thrill! Rent one of our ATV’s and take a ride off property to new and different sites. Insurance will be required to be purchased, as well as a $2500.00 deposit per ATV. Don’t miss out on this new adventure!
Rodeo Riding Lessons -
$60.00 per person per hour
Cowboy Up! Be a part of the true American west. Find yourself in the saddle in our rodeo arena. With a wrangler to assist you learn the art of cattle penning, roping, barrel racing and patterns. The fun and excitement never ends. Wranglers must approve age and physical abilities for this adventure.
Dutch Oven Dinner -
Wagon Ride $35.00 per person
Westward ho! So was the shout of teamsters heading
their wagons west. As your day winds down at Zion
Ponderosa find yourself and others in a wagon
headed west. Pulled by a Belgian horse team, your
wagon will head towards the setting sun. You will
know you are getting close to your destination
as your senses are aroused by the smell and sight
of your Dutch oven dinner waiting. After your
hearty meal with breathtaking views it’s back
in the wagon to head home. This is an experience
for all to enjoy! more
